Shanaya's personal project was based on breaking the myth about male dancers and its respective gender bias. Her goal was to end these sorts of gender stereotypes and promote a more accepting and transparent society. She interviewed famous Chauu Dancer and school teacher Rajesh Sai Babu and surveyed people along with research to decode the reasoning behind these perceptions. Her observances, along with the stereotypes about this art and profession, also included how even female dancers feel pressurised due to these social issues.
