Everyday, us humans unknowingly waste thousands of litres of water a day, by simply putting random amounts of water into our plants. Either the plant will get too much water and die, or it will not get enough water and die. When we noticed this in our own homes, we at Team YouGrow began a yearlong journey to solve this problem and save water and important resources while we are at it.Our project YouGrow, is an automated plant watering and detection system that detects what plant you have with a click of a button and gives it just the right amount of water required forit to grow properly. It also comes with a well developed app which gives you general tips on how to improve plant growth. It also lets you take a photo of a given plant to detect what plant it is, and will give you tips on the best conditions and how to grow the plants straight from the experts! With this, the user saves thousands of litres of water, grows their plant properly because of our automated watering system, with an inbuilt soil moisture detector and gives tips on how to grow the plant.
